Seven Americans to Contest British Open

Team USA will have seven representatives in one of the sport’s most prestigious Platinum events–the Allam British Open–March 28-April 3, in Hull, England.

Four Americans are set for first-round action on Monday, March 28.

Shahjahan Khan enters his second British Open appearance with a career high ranking of world No. 30 earned this month, and will aim for his first win in Hull against his Specter Center training partner Alan Clyne at 5:45pm local time, 1:45pm ET.

World No. 35 Todd Harrity will aim to replicate his successful run at the Windy City Open with an opening match against Hong Kong’s world No. 43. Tsz Fung Yip at 12:45pm local time, 8:45am ET.

in the women’s draw, world No. 43 Haley Mendez will take on Egypt’s world No. 27 Hana Ramadan at 5pm local time, 1pm ET.

World No. 24 Sabrina Sobhy will open up her third British Open appearance with a Black Ball Open rematch against World No. 41 Yathreb Adel at 5pm local time, 1pm ET.

World No. 12 Olivia Blatchford Clyne, world No. 10 Olivia Fiechter and world No. 4 Amanda Sobhy all enjoy a first round bye and will join in on second round action on Tuesday, March 29.

Blatchford Clyne faces a difficult opening match on the glass court against English world No. 11 Georgina Kennedy at 12pm noon local time, 8am ET.

Amanda Sobhy, the tournament’s three seed, awaits either Hong Kong’s Lie Tsz-Ling or Wales’ Emily Whitlock on court 4 at 5pm local time, 1pm ET.

Fiechter will open up her third British Open against Wales’ world No. 17 Tesni Evans on court 6 at 5pm local time, 1pm ET.
