BIO

Salim Khan has been immersed in the world of squash since early childhood, training under the guidance of his accomplished and respected squash family. His foundation in the sport began at a young age and quickly evolved into a decorated junior career defined by consistent excellence, leadership, and sportsmanship. Salim was ranked among the top five U.S. junior players throughout his entire junior career and achieved multiple notable milestones along the way. He represented Team USA internationally at the World Junior Championships, British Junior Open, and Battle of the Borders, gaining valuable experience on the global stage. A major highlight came when he captured the title at the U.S. Junior Open, one of the most competitive and prestigious events in the world for youth players. His outstanding conduct and presence in the sport were also recognized with the DeRoy Sportsmanship Award from US Squash.

Continuing his trajectory, Salim played collegiate squash at George Washington University, where he rose to become the team’s top player. As co-captain and team MVP, he led the program to two College Squash Association national championship titles. His impact on the court was matched by his dedication off it, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and being named to the GW Athletics Academic Dean’s List for his academic achievements.

After graduating from university, Salim returned to his hometown of Bellevue, Washington, where he initially pursued a career in the real estate industry. While thriving in that professional space, he ultimately felt a strong pull back toward the sport he loved. At the end of 2023, he made the decision to fully commit to his professional squash ambitions and relocated to Philadelphia to train at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center — the home of U.S. Squash and a hub for elite-level training.

Since turning professional, Salim has reached a career-high world ranking of No. 127 on the PSA World Tour and continues to compete at the highest level. Today, he represents the United States with the same drive and passion that have defined every stage of his squash career. Whether competing internationally or training at home, he remains focused on growth, excellence, and giving back to the game.
