Team USA has made history by producing fifteen British Junior Open quarterfinalists–topping a previous best of nine in 2019–after two days of play in Birmingham, England.
The U.S. contingent of fifty players will have quarterfinal representation in all ten divisions–another first for Team USA–and produced a number of major upsets in the first four rounds of match play.

In the BU17 division, unseeded Alexander Dartnell produced one of the biggest upsets of the tournament, knocking out the two seed in the round of thirty-two, and backed up the performance by a round of sixteen win. Unseeded Aiden Chiang upset a [3/4] seed in the third round and joins [3/4]-seeded teammate Jack Elriani in the BU15 quarterfinals.
In the GU11 division, unseeded Amrita Swaminathan upset a [5/8] seed in the first round and 9/16 seed in the second round to set up a quarterfinal against the top seed. [9/16] seed and recent U.S. Junior Open champion Charlotte Sze upset a [5/8] seed in five games to reach the quarterfinals.
In the BU19 division, unseeded Rishi Srivastava upset a 5/8 seed in the third round and will face England’s two seed in the quarterfinals. 2022 GU19 finalist and 5/8 seed Caroline Fouts will face world junior champion and top seed Amina Orfi in the quarterfinals at 7:40am ET.
