Team USA’s Marina Stefanoni opened up her 2023-2024 PSA squash season with her seventh and largest PSA Challenger title–the $9,000 Windsor Cup–August 19 in Canada.

The world No. 52 entered the tournament as the top seed and opened her tournament with a 3-0 win over compatriot Avery Park. Stefanoni then pulled off a five-game comeback quarterfinal win over former world No. 49 Nikki Todd. The former three-time U.S. junior champion then edged reigning U.S. junior champion and three seed Caroline Fouts in the semifinals 12-10, 11-7, 13-11.

In the bottom half of the draw, Egypt’s four seed Nour Heikal denied an all-Stefanoni sister final ending six seed Lucie Stefanoni’s semifinal run in three games.

Heikal took an early lead in the final with the first game 11-9, but the twenty-year-old American came back to clinch the title 11-7, 11-5, 11-8 in forty minutes.
