Team USA’s Timmy Brownell and Nicholas Spizzirri both marked the mid-point of the PSA season with career high rankings of world No. 27 and No. 97, respectively.

After reaching the world’s top thirty for the first time in June at world No. 29, the three-time U.S. champion moved up four places from world No. 31 to a new career high this month on the back of recent performances. In October, Brownell captured the largest title of his career–the PSA Copper Charlottesville Open.

In November, Brownell reached the semifinals of the PSA Copper St. James Open. Brownell ended the first half of his season with a first round Hong Kong Open loss against eventual finalist Yousef Ibrahim. Brownell will open up his 2026 campaign as the seven seed in the PSA Silver Motor City Open in Detroit, January 13-19.

Nick Spizzirri has had a busy start to his PSA career having competed in seven events in the first half of his debut season. The twenty-three year old won back-to-back titles at the SPAC Open and Wakefield Open in the fall–his first titles as a full time professional–and recently reached the quarterfinals of the $15,000 Madeira Open in Portugal.

The Penn graduate’s new ranking marks his first time in the world’s top 100.

Spizzirri is in action this week at the Life Time Georgia Open where he will aim to end 2025 on a high note.
