Amanda Sobhy Wins Twenty-Third Career Title in Cincinnati

Team USA’s Amanda Sobhy won the twenty-third PSA title of her career and first of the season, defeating top seed and world No. 9 Georgina Kennedy in the final of the PSA Silver Gaynor Cup Sunday, February 22, at the Cincinnati Country Club.

Sobhy, world No. 11, entered the draw as the two seed and progressed to the final with a marathon five-game quarterfinal win against five seed Melissa Alves and 3-0 semifinal win against four seed Jasmine Hutton.

The former World No.3 and Kennedy met twice in 2025 with both claiming a win over each other. Sobhy won the PSA Bronze German Open title in March 2025 with a 3-0 win against the English international, and replicated that performance by claiming the Gaynor Cup 11-8, 11-2, 11-7 in thirty-two minutes.

Sobhy will now travel to the PSA Silver Steel City Open in Pittsburgh where she is the three seed.
