Sabrina Sobhy Matches Career High Title Mark at Calgary Women’s Squash Week

Team USA’s Sabrina Sobhy has continued her positive momentum with her second PSA Copper title of the season at the Calgary Women’s Squash Week 2026 Sunday, March 15, at the Calgary Winter Club.

Sobhy, who returned to the world’s top twenty for the first time in two years last month, has climbed back up the world’s rankings this season after missing the majority of last season due to injury.

Sobhy started 2026 by reaching the PSA Silver Squash in the Land final and the semifinals of the PSA Bronze Squash on Fire Open.

In Calgary, Sobhy opened up the tournament with back-to-back 3-0 wins, and overcame a difficult five-game semifinal against eighteen-year-old Jana Swaify in five games. In the final, Sobhy dispatched surprise finalist Nardine Garas 12-10, 11-4, 13-11 in thirty-three minutes.

The title marks the seventh of Sobhy’s career and joint highest alongside her PSA Copper St. James Open title last fall.
