Illingworth and Grainger begin defense of U.S. titles

Julian Illingworth will look to capture his eighth straight title as play gets underway today at the 2012 U.S. S.L. Green Championship in Cambridge, MA. Illingworth, who trains out of New York City, is seeded to meet fellow PSA touring pro Christopher Gordon in the final.

Natalie Grainger (CT) will also look to defend her U.S. Women’s Championship this weekend in Cambridge. Grainger will attempt to win her sixth straight U.S. title. Seeded to meet Grainger in the final is recently crowned individual collegiate champion Amanda Sobhy.
