Team USA Wins Fifth Consecutive ‘Battle of the Border’ in Ontario

Team USA won its fifth consecutive Ontario-American ‘Battle of the Border’ Challenge this weekend defeating Team Ontario 22-2 in the final competition Sunday at White Oaks, Niagra-on-the-lake, Ontario.

Ont Am trophy shotTeam USA arrived in Canada Thursday, with players training with Team Ontario and competing in test matches Friday and Saturday before contesting the title competition Sunday.

The forty-eight participating players consisted of four players per team in boys’ and girls’ U13, U15, U17 age divisions.

The Ontario-American Challenge celebrated its tenth year in 2014. The tournament was founded in 2004 by U.S.-based Bryan Patterson and Ontario-based Mark Sachvie.
