Maccabi USA is seeking Jewish Squash athletes, ages 15 and older, and volunteer staff to represent the United States at the 14th European Maccabi Games in Berlin, Germany, July 27th– August 5th, 2015, and at the 13th Pan American Maccabi Games in Santiago, Chile, December 28th 2015- January 4th 2016.
Rich Grodin and Lou Moyerman, the General Chairmen of Maccabi USA’s European and Pan American Maccabi Games Organizing Committees, respectively, are working to appoint qualified athletes to represent the United States in Squash.
“The Maccabi Games are extremely important to me because they build Jewish pride, ” Moyerman says. “The Games provide Jewish athletes from the USA the chance to represent their country in an international sporting competition while bonding with their fellow Jewish athletes from the USA and around the world.”
Maccabi USA is scheduled to compete in Squash at both the European and Pan American Maccabi Games in the Open Male age group, for those aged between 18 and 35, as well as the Open Female age group at the European Maccabi Games. There will also be Female and Male Master’s age group teams, for those aged 35+, at both Games. The Pan American Maccabi Games will also feature a Youth Male team, for those born in 1997 or 1998, and a Juniors Male team, for those born in 1999 or 2000.
