For the sixth consecutive year, Team USA retained the “Battle of the Border” title this weekend, August 6-9, at perennial host the White Oaks Resort and Spa in Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario.

Team USA held off a Canadian team comeback with scoreline of 15-9—lead by the under seventeen contingent. The format of the Battle had shifted this year from Team USA v. Team Ontario, to Team USA v. Team Canada. This year’s Battle welcomed the highest ranked, age-eligible juniors (from divisions under thirteen through under seventeen) for a total of forty-eight competitors.

Now in its eleventh year, the Battle of the Border, was founded in 2004 by U.S.-based Bryan Patterson and Ontario-based Mark Sachvie. Team USA arrived early to train alongside Team Canada, before contesting the title competition on Sunday.
