Team USA Aims for Seventh Consecutive Battle of the Border Title

BOB

An elite group of Team USA juniors travel north of the border this weekend to contest the twelfth “Battle of the Border” against Team Canada at perennial host, the White Oaks Resort and Spa in Niagara-on-the-lake, Ontario.

The U13, U15 and U17 juniors are aiming for Team USA’s seventh consecutive title in the second year of a Team USA vs Team Canada format. For the event’s first ten years, the tournament had a Team USA vs Team Ontario format. The Battle of the Border was founded in 2004 by U.S.-based Bryan Patterson and the late Mark Sachvie.

Before competing against each other on Sunday, Team USA and Team Canada train together and enjoy other leisurely activities.

Last year, Team USA held off a Canadian team comeback with scoreline of 15-9—lead by the under seventeen contingent.
