Gordon Wins Fifth Career PSA Title in British Virgin Islands

Chris Gordon

Team USA’s Chris Gordon earned his fifth career PSA Tour title this weekend, pulling off a perfect tournament at the 2018 Men’s Harneys British Virgin Islands Open in the Caribbean.

Gordon, world No. 61, entered the $5,000 tournament as the top seed and did not drop a game all tournament on his way to the title. In the final, Gordon defeated England’s world No. 82 Adam Murrills 11-5, 11-6, 11-3 in forty-one minutes.

“It was a nice win and great week of squash,” Gordon said. “It’s unbelievable to put on a PSA tournament of this quality just a few months after the entire country British Virgin Islands was decimated by hurricane damage just last September.”

The BVI Open is Gordon’s first PSA Tour title since 2016.

The New York City-native’s next tournament will be the 2018 S.L. Green U.S. Men’s Championship in Philadelphia, March 7-10.
