Two-time defending U.S. junior champion Marina Stefanoni is seeded for a third consecutive U.S. Junior Squash Championships girls’ U19 title at just fifteen years old, while the boys’ U19 division is set to produce a first-time champion this weekend at Harvard and MIT in Boston, Massachusetts.
288 of the best juniors in the U.S. players will compete across full thirty-two-player draws in the boys’ and girls’ U19, U17, U15 and U13 age divisions, and full sixteen-player draws in the U11 divisions.

One week after placing fifth in the U.S. Women’s Championship, Stefanoni is set to enter the National Juniors as the GU19 top seed for a third consecutive year. In 2016, Stefanoni became the youngest player in history at thirteen years old to capture a U19 junior national title, which she followed up with her second last year. Stefanoni’s main title competition comes in the form of her 2017 world juniors U.S. teammates, who comprise the remaining top four seeds.
The GU19 final is predicted to be a repeat of the 2017 U.S. Junior Open final between Stefanoni and second-seeded Elle Ruggiero. Stefanoni has won all four of their encounters this season leading into nationals. Laila Sedky enters with her highest nationals seeding to date, third, while 2017 U17 champion Elisabeth Ross slots in as the four seed.
While Stefanoni aims to defend her title, a new BU19 champion is guaranteed with 2016 and 2017 champion Andrew Douglas moving on to college. U.S. Junior Open BU17 finalist Ayush Menon leads the draw as the top seed with a predicted final against last year’s BU17 champion, Tiber Worth. Menon is seeded to meet World Juniors veteran Eric Kim in the semifinals, while William Ezratty—who claimed the high school nationals title with Brunswick—is seeded to face Worth in the semis.
