Harrity and Lewis Prepped for Paraguay Open First Round

The first round of the seventh $10, 000 PSA Paraguay Open will feature two Americans Wednesday evening in Asuncion, Paraguay.

Dartmouth graduate and world No. 217 Mike Lewis recorded two, three-game qualifying victories Monday and Tuesday to seal a position in the main draw. The twenty-six-year old journeyman is set to face fifth-seeded Dutchman Piedro Schweertman in the first round Wednesday night.

U.S. champion Todd Harrity is the four seed in Paraguay, and has drawn Guatemalan qualifier Josue Enriquez as his first-round opponent. The twenty-four-year old world No. 73 is seeded to meet Welsh world No. 76 in the quarterfinals, and New Zealand’s world No. 53 in the semifinals.
