Todd Harrity is the sole American to reach the $50k PSA Abierto Colombiano main draw after defeating compatriot Chris Hanson in Tuesday’s qualifying finals at El Nogal Club in Bogota.
Hanson created an early lead winning the first game 11-9, but Harrity recovered to win the match in four games and thirty-six minutes 11-5, 11-2, 11-2.
Harrity, world No. 72, has drawn Egyptian world No. 35 Zahed Mohamed as his first-round main draw opponent in their first career encounter. The twenty-three-year-old from Alexandria
Harrity and Mohamed will play their match at 5:15pm ET.
