Marina Stefanoni Wins Seventh International Junior Open Title in Hong Kong

Marina Stefanoni’s successful year abroad continues with her seventh international junior open title—the Hong Kong Junior Open GU13—this weekend in Hong Kong, China.

After most recently winning the Dutch Junior Open GU15 title last month, the twelve-year-old reverted to the U13 division for the WSF Tier 2 junior open event in Hong Kong.

The Darien, CT-native dropped only one game all tournament—the first in the final—before recovering to win the final in four games.

Stefanoni’s younger sister, Lucie, also finished seventh in the GU13 division.

Since winning the U.S. Junior Open in December, Marina Stefanoni has won titles in the Scottish, Canadian, French, Malaysian, Dutch and now Hong Kong Junior Opens.
