Team USA’s Amanda Sobhy is through to the second round of the final PSA World Series event of the season, the 2016 Allam British Open in Hull, England.

On Monday, the world No. 7 from Sea Cliff, New York, defeated French qualifier Coline Aumard in three games to set up a second round match against eleven seed Alison Waters.

Sobhy has already played Waters twice in 2016, first defeating the English world No. 10 in January’s Tournament of Champions, but then losing in February’s Cleveland Classic.

Watch Sobhy against Waters Wednesday morning at 8am ET on SquashTV.

Sobhy’s Pan American Games teammate, Olivia Blatchford, reached the British Open main draw through qualifying, and drew top seed and world No. 1 Laura Massaro in the first round.

Massaro ended Blatchford’s run in England in three games Tuesday afternoon.
