Creed Upsets Harrity for Turn in Paraguay Open Semifinals

American world No. 73 and U.S. Champion Todd Harrity fell in straight games to the lower-seeded Welshman Peter Creed last night in the quarterfinals of the Paraguay Open, a Challenger 10 tournament hosted in Asuncion, Paraguay.

Caerphilly-born Creed, world No. 76, upset the higher-ranked and higher-seeded Harrity 11-8, 11-8, 11-8 in fifty-five minutes. Creed faces the seventh-seed and Argentina’s world No. 86 Robertino Pezzota, for the first time in their professional careers at 8:45pm local time.
