Team USA’s Amanda Sobhy advanced to the second round of the PSA World Series Qatar Classic Sunday where she will face French world No. 4 Camille Serme Tuesday in Doha.

Sobhy eased through her first-round match against Egyptian teenager Hania El Hammamy 11-4, 11-3, 11-0 in eighteen minutes to set up a fifth-career matchup with Serme, the tournament’s three seed.

Sobhy, world No. 11, has won her last two matches against the twenty-six-year-old French international, most recently in December’s women’s world team championship to clinch fifth place for Team USA, and the Hong Kong Open in August 2014. Serme, the 2015 British Open champion, is in good form, however, having reached the semifinals of the U.S. Open last month.

The match is streaming live on SquashTV at noon local time, 4am ET. Follow all Qatar Classic action and subscribe to SquashTV at www.psaworldtour.com/tv.

Sobhy’s teammate Olivia Blatchford bowed out of the tournament in a hard-fought first-round match against Egyptian world No. 8 Nour El Sherbini. Blatchford, world No. 36, qualified for the main draw with a three-game qualifying final victory over Lee Ka Yi Friday.

On Sunday, the Wilton, Connecticut-native took the first game against El Sherbini 11-8, but the three-time world junior champion recovered to win the match 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 in thirty-six minutes.
