Serme Holds off Amanda Sobhy 11-9 in the Fifth

Team USA’s Amanda Sobhy was eliminated from the PSA World Series Qatar Classic Tuesday in dramatic fashion, losing the decisive fifth game 11-9 against France’s world No. 4 Camille Serme.

SquashTV fans were treated to a highly-entertaining and competitive match in what was the fifth career encounter between Serme, the 2015 British Open champion, and Sobhy, world No. 11. Clocking in at fifty-seven minutes, Serme prevailed 4-11, 13-11, 11-8, 5-11, 11-9.

Sobhy now returns to training before traveling to China in three weeks to compete in the $95, 000 Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Open.
