Team USA’s Chris Gordon won his third career PSA Tour title Sunday evening, defeating Canada’s Mike McCue in the $10, 000 Good Life Fitness Open final in Ottawa, Canada.

Gordon, world No. 57, entered the tournament as the top seed and brushed off fellow American Sam Gould in a three-game first round match. The thirty-year-old’s most difficult match came in the second round against Jamaica’s Chris Binnie, which Gordon pulled out 11-9 in the fifth.

In the semis, Gordon took out Welsh world No. 66 Peter Creed in three games to reach the final where he topped seventh-seeded McCue 11-9, 11-6, 9-11, 11-9 in sixty minutes.

“Michael pushed me really hard today, ” Gordon said after the final. “I had to work for the win, a really enjoyable match.”

The Good Life Fitness Open is Gordon’s first PSA title since claiming the 2013 New York Metro Open.
