For the second year in a row, Amanda Sobhy and Olivia Blatchford will contest the U.S. Women’s Championship final Sunday morning at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sobhy, the one seed and defending champion, and Blatchford, the two seed and finalist last year, both advanced through their semifinals in three games and less than half an hour Saturday afternoon.

Sobhy, the world No. 7, opened proceedings against recent CSA Individual finalist and 2015 U.S. Junior Champion Reeham Sedky.

The University of Pennsylvania rising sophomore troubled the Harvard graduate in the first game, taking seven points off of Sobhy. Sobhy maintained her lead through the second to win 11-6, before closing out the game 11-1 in twenty-eight minutes.

The younger Sobhy sister and 2014 national champion, Sabrina, took to the court next in what was a rematch semifinal against world No. 28 Olivia Blatchford.

Like in their 2015 semifinal, it was Blatchford who advanced, this time 11-2, 11-3, 11-5 in twenty-four minutes.
