American world No. 36 Olivia Blatchford is in the northwest of England where she will compete as the eight seed in the $15, 000 PSA women’s CourtCare Open Wednesday in Preston.

The Wilton, Connecticut-native will face nineteen-year-old qualifier Nada Elkalaawy in her opening match Wednesday evening. If the draw goes according to seeding, Blatchford will face recently-crowned Canadian national champion Sam Cornett in Thursday’s quarterfinals.

All matches are streaming live on www.livestream.com. Main draw play begins at 1pm ET.

The CourtCare Open will serve as a warm up for the $150, 000 Allam British Open—a World Series event—next week on England’s eastern coast in Hull, where Blatchford is a qualifier.

Last month, the twenty-two-year old captured her fifth career professional title—the $5, 000 Paderborn Open—before reaching the quarterfinals of the $15, 000 Irish Open.
