US Squash announces head coach for 2013 World Junior Women’s National Team

Scott Devoy 1Scott Devoy has been named by US Squash as the head coach of the 2013 Junior Women’s National Team.

The team will travel to Wroclaw, Poland in July to represent the United States at the World Junior Team Championships.

For the past eight years, Devoy has been the head squash professional at Merion Cricket Club in Philadelphia, a club that has produced a large and successful squash program including 14 national junior titles.

Devoy takes the place of coaches Jack Wyant and Natalie Grainger who led the team in 2011 to its highest finish ever – 2nd place.  Grainger was honored that year as squash’s selection to be the United States Olympic Committee’s Coach of the Year, and will continue to coach the Women’s National Team.

Selection for the team to represent the United States at the 2013 World Junior Women’s Team Championships is based on junior ranking positions compiled at the end of the 2012-2013 season.  For more information about team selection criteria, click here.
